Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need special tools?

The tools required depend upon the product being installed. The turn signals require only a Phillips screwdriver. Please refer to the installation instructions for the 2-in-1 products.

How long will the install take?

Installation should take no more than five minutes per signal. This is for the turn signal ONLY.  The 2-in-1 products take 1-2 hours depending on experience with electrical systems, and whether you are installing only the front or rear lights, or both.

Do you offer a lighting solution for the RT?

We currently do not have a lighting solution for the RT or other bikes with fared in lights.  Weiser lights are designed to fit inside the stemmed style turn signal housing.

Can i move my weiser LED lights from one bike to another?

We warranty our lights for normal use and against manufacturing defect under our no quibble guarantee for up to four years. Note: it is not possible for us to warranty a claim for forward compatibility to motorcycle model years ahead of the year and bike model for which the product was originally sold. For example, moving a product from a 2016 model year bike to a 2019 model year could void warranty due to incompatibility issues.

Which UltraBRIGHTS will fit my bike?

Our lights are designed to fit inside the turn signal housing. If you are intending to use your existing OEM housing, it is important that you identify not just the bike make and model you require, but also the shape of the OEM turn signal housing currently fitted to your bike.

If in any doubt about the shape you have, send us a message or call +1 (831) 713-4365 and we’ll check to see if your model is compatible.

Weiser currently manufactures 5 LED panel shapes:

Does Weiser sell anything other than lights?

Yes. We can also provide the turn signal housings that correspond to our EXTREME shaped lighting products. Additionally, check out our handle bar bags in Weiser Gear… there will be more to see there soon!

Do you provide technical support?

Our technicians are happy to help if you get stuck on your install. Send us a message or give us a call and we’ll walk you through it.

How do I know which wires are positive and which are negative?

Typically, the blue wire is positive and the brown wire is negative. However, that may be different on some motorcycles. Before replacing the lens, check to see if the indicators flash - and if they don’t work reverse the wires.

What are the locking keys used for?

The locking key is designed to stop the blinker end from pulling off the stem, and is required to complete the installation successfully.

Will I need to add a load equalizer if I convert to LEDs?

No. The Weiser Ultrabrights are designed to work whether or not your bike has a CAN bus system. Although they work on a lower current than standard bulbs, they will not show a bulb failure warning on the dash.

What if the Bulb warning light is showing?

BMW has changed an electronics module on some 2016 models, which may also be the case with other bike manufacturers. If the engine isn’t running and the indicator is turned on, you’ll see a bulb warning light; this is normal. The bulb warning sign will disappear once the engine is running.

Are there any safety advantages of LEDs over conventional bulbs?

Weiser UltraBRIGHTS LEDs illuminate approximately 20% faster than conventional bulbs, and produce up to eight times brighter light. We say "be seen, be safe'".
